Smear the chicken with the olive oil and add sprinkle with salt. Thats It
When the oven is ready put the chicken in.
Add the sunflower oil to a pot and start heating up the oil (Be Careful)
Start to peel and cut the potatoes into strips ie. chips
When done pat dry the potato chips, removing the water from them.
When the oil is hot and ready drop the chips into the oil. Careful the oil may splash
Keep an eye on the chips, when they start to turn brown on the edges remove them from the oil.
The chips are now blanched
Don't turn off the oil, let in heat up again.
When the chicken is out of the oven move it over to your grill or braai.
Put the chicken down bone side first.
Start to baste the chicken with the Lappies chilli sauce with the added garlic. The grilling goes quickly. When your chicken has a lovely burnt color as the image above its ready.
Remove the chicken and put it on cutting board and left to sit for a few minutes.
While the chicken is resting add the blacked chips back into the now hot oil again. The chips wil go quickly and will become lovely and crispy.
Pre heat oven to 160 deg Celsius
Prepare grill or braai (start the fire)
